Hello dear friends! Let me introduce you to our workshop. It's small but experienced family run workshop located in the city of Kutaisi, the capital of the legendary Colchis - Georgia. We have been working since 2007 and represent one of the best makers of Georgian folk music instruments. In our studio we can also repair broken instruments and renew old ones.

Our instruments have great popularity among many Georgian folk musicians and foreign performers; We produce instruments with our original techniques and design. Instruments are distinguished by quality and durability. Our musical instruments are designed for professional use, though some of them are adapted for amateur musicians.

We receive orders from local interested individuals, as well as from different countries and send them by Post Service. This is a internationally registered shipping with tracking support (GPost, EMS, DHL). We also arrange locally (Kutaisi) some meeting-presentations for the interested people, giving them some lessons. Many customers make order in advance before they arrive and then later they pick up instruments themselves, having at the same time free lesson.

We use variety of material, different types of wood: Dark Walnut, Pine, Chestnut. Technology of processing instruments differs according to the used materials. That is the most time-consuming and hard work. Most of the work is done only by hand. To start working on the specific instrument, we have to receive order at least one month before. We have our individual creative approach to each order, since we take into account demands of our customers. All the details and terms of purchasing any instrument can be discussed by e-mail. For the individuals and parties interested in our products, we can arrange small presentation, where visitors will be acquainted with origins of Georgian folk instruments, old traditions and manufacturing history. Of course, there can be organized a small exhibition-performance on some musical instruments. We will be happy and gladly accept any offer to take part in international festivals and exhibitions. We are greatly interested in cooperation with similar organizations and are ready to discuss all the details.

:: Fiddlestick instrument Abkhartsa

Fiddlestick instrument Abkhartsa. Instrument is cut out of a whole piece of wood and has a shape of a boat.

Instrument body has two proportional shapes (sound holes) side by side on the front end. They represents sea waves, as Abkhartsa origins from Seaside region of Georgia and was very traditional making front side with this trait.
