Chiboni is a Georgian wind instrument very like to European Bagpipe. It is widespread instrument in west region of Georgia - Adjaria. Only dance melodies are performed on Chiboni. It is mainly played with accompaniment of Panduri, Chonguri or Doli. Usually, men play this instrument.
The leather bag is made of goat skin. There is a horn attached into the bag, in which two wooden pipes of equal length and thickness are placed - a leader and a bass. The left one called Bass pipe has 3 front keys; The right one called Leader pipe has 6 keys. Three keys of the right pipe are placed symmetrically below to the three keys of the left pipe. There is a small wooden vent-pipe, used for blowing air into the bag and has a function of valve. Sometimes, pipes are vice versa layout. It depends on the player, if he right-hand or left-hand. Instrument comes with single pipe for learning playing skills.

Abkhartsa - Abkhazian two-string musical instrument which is played by a fiddle-stick. It is thought to be widespread all over Georgia from this region and it has distinguished design from other fiddle-stick instruments. Mostly, Abkhartsa was used as an accompaniment instrument. There were performed one, two or three voice songs, and national heroic poems as well.
Recently we have done our first Abkhartsa and it got excellent as by sound as by design. Instrument is cut out of a whole piece of wood and has a shape of a boat. It is done from old Chestnut wood and gives very warm sound.
Some interesting notes about instrument: You see two proportional shapes side by side on the front end, it represents sea waves, as Abkhartsa origins from Seaside region of Georgia and symbolically it always made on it. Also, there is attached wooden "component" for stretching strings, it portrays Boats’ Anchor. As, whole Abkhartsa instrument have shape of boat it was very traditional to make with this manner.

At these days our team discussed what ornaments could be used on the Panduri, in order to present instrument in Georgian manner. We decided to do one extraordinary Panduri with Georgian symbol "Borjgali" and "Bolnisi Cross" shapes. About Borjgali - it is like Sun and wings. This is symbol of Georgia and each wing means certain character of Georgian People: Faith in God, Patriotism, Love, Knighthood... This symbol printed on National Currency Lari as well. And Bolnisi cross (Georgian: ბოლნისის ჯვარი bolnisis ǰvari) is a cross symbol, taken from a 5th-century ornament at the Bolnisi Sioni church, which came to be used as a national symbol of Georgia. Panduri have very good, soft sound and played very easy. Think, most of interested people would appreciate our work.
